In semiconductor manufacturing, ultrapure water (UPW) is used alongside a wide range of chemical agents, resulting in wastewater that contains chemical residues, particulates, and metal ions. The wastewater line in semiconductor processes refers to the system responsible for collecting, treating, recycling, or safely discharging contaminated water generated during production. Because semiconductor manufacturing involves large quantities of chemicals, water, and process-related contaminants, wastewater must be managed with precision and reliability.

To meet the demanding cleanliness and chemical stability requirements of these wastewater lines, butterfly valves must be constructed with chemically resistant materials such as PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene).

PTFE-lined valves are highly resistant to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents, making them ideal for protecting against corrosion, erosion, and ensuring long-term chemical stability in harsh environments. These valves play a critical role in flow control, shut-off, and system protection.

Jeongdo Machinery’s PTFE Seated (Lined) Butterfly Valves are engineered specifically for semiconductor wastewater lines. They ensure precise flow regulation, protect the system from chemical damage, and can be integrated with electric or pneumatic actuators—making them essential for automated process control in high-purity and corrosive service environments.
